KITCHENER — He said he wanted a bottle of water. A cold bottle of water. He insisted.
And when his wife, the mother of his three young children, went to fetch it for him from the fridge, he grabbed her from behind. Wielding a knife, Nabil Almousa threw his wife to the floor, pinned her arms and legs, and went at her eyelids with its seven-inch blade.

By the time he got up again, there were seven cuts and slices — and so much blood that a woman who later saw her thought it must be a prank.

“There,” Almousa told her. “You can leave now.”

Almost a year later, as she weighs whether or not to have plastic surgery, she said she is partly to blame for own disfigurement because she said something to make him mad.

But the judge who heard the facts yesterday — about the knife attack and the chain of events building up to it — was having none of that.

A new report on Iran is revealing that an estimated 850,000 young girls there are married – some of them as young as 9 or 10 years old and some of them married off to an “elderly man” in payment of a debt.

The report was compiled by Y. Mansharof, a research fellow, and A. Savyon, director of the Iranian Media Project. Both are with the Middle East Media Research Institute.

They explain there has been an increasingly intense public debate about a number of social issues inside Iran.

“One such issue is the phenomenon of marriages involving children, including children under age 10 – especially arranged marriages of girls to adult men, or even to elderly men,” they wrote.

“Under Iranian law, girls may marry at 13 and boys at 15, and children under 10 may marry with the approval of their guardian and the court. According to official statistics, about one million children, even under age 10, are married. The statistics also show that 85 percent of these one million married children are girls – meaning that most of them are married to grown men.”
They noted that public figures such as sociologists inside the regime are warning that the number of children marrying is rising, and that that creates both health and social risks.

“According to one sociologist, arranging marriages for children, especially girls, is common among poor and uneducated urban families that seek a way out of dire financial straits; he adds that the girls themselves are severely damaged both physically and psychologically,” the report said.

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome …”

BOSTON -- Russian state security secretly recorded a phone call in 2011 between Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the Boston Marathon bomb suspects, and his mother in which they vaguely discussed jihad, a law enforcement source said Saturday.

Zubeidat Tsarnaeva -- the mother of suspects Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who was killed in a shootout with police during the manhunt following the bombings, and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19 -- also was recorded by the Russian wiretaps in another call chatting with someone in southern Russia who was under investigation by the FBI in an unrelated terrorism case, the source said.
Not until late last week did the FBI learn about the existence of the calls. None of the calls discussed specifics of any attack against America, the source said.
Word of the calls came as a team of investigators completed their search of a Massachusetts landfill where they believe Dzhokhar may have disposed of a laptop and bombmaking materials, according to the source. The laptop could contain clues as to whether the brothers received outside guidance or support.
At the prison medical center now treating Dzhokhar, FBI interrogators have continued questioning him, but he has cooperated little since a judge read him his Miranda rights at a court hearing in a Boston hospital last week, the source said.
Authorities said the brothers planted the pressure-cooker bombs that killed three people and injured more than 260 at the April 15 marathon.
The mother's possible influence on her sons' actions has come under new scrutiny.
Back in 2011, the Russians told their U.S. counterparts that they feared the mother and Tamerlan Tsarnaev were religious extremists bent on militancy. Consequently the FBI conducted only a cursory inquiry into the family, the source said.
Both Tamerlan and his mother ended up on a U.S. government terrorist watch list with 500,000-plus other names as a result of the limited information Russia provided.
In the phone call between mother and son that the Russians wiretapped, Tsarnaeva and Tamerlan Tsarnaev discussed his going to the Palestinian territories, as well as the subject of jihad, but in a general, "nonspecific" way, the source said. The Associated Press reported he dismissed the idea of traveling to the territories because he said he didn't speak the language there, Arabic.
Intelligence officials have also found text messages in which the mother discusses how Tamerlan is ready to die for Islam, two sources said.
The 2011 U.S. probe of mother and son came after the tip from Russia that Tamerlan Tsarnaev may have been preparing to leave the United States for travel to Russia to join unspecified underground groups.

RABAT,MOROCCO (BosNewsLife)-- Christian converts in Morocco feared for their future Thursday, April 25, after the country's highest Islamic institute issued a fatwa demanding the death penalty for Muslims who renounce their religion.

The Supreme Ulema Council of Morocco (CSO), a body of Islamic scholars headed by King Mohammed VI, said that Muslims who reject their faith "should be condemned to death." CSO is the only institution entitled to issue 'fatwas', or religious decrees, in Morocco.
The ministry of Islamic affairs declined to comment on the issue.

The fatwa dates back to April 2012 when a legal report was prepared by the government, but it wasn't published at the time, according to local media.

Mahjoub El Hiba, a senior human rights official in the Moroccan government, denied to reporters that the government received a fatwa on "apostasy" -- the word used for abandoning Islam -- as the Arabic-language daily Akhbar al-Youm had claimed.

CRACKDOWN FEARED

The different statements could not be immediately reconciled, but local Christians expressed concern about the situation, saying it could lead to a new crackdown on the country's tiny Christian community of some 22,000 people.

According to reports, a 25-year-old woman was killed during a public execution carried out by religious clerics and local council in western Badghis province of Afghanistan.

Local authorities in Badghis province said the woman was executed for escaping from her home.
Head of the provincial media department for Badghis province, Mirwais Mirzakwal said the woman was 25-year-old and had escaped from her home with a stranger man in Ab-Kamari district.

Mr. Mirzakwal further added, the woman was sentenced to death by religious clerics and local council after she was found by her father in law family.

He said the woman was shot dead by her father after the religious clerics ordered her execution.
There are no reports regarding the fate of the man who had taken the woman with her.
Police officials are saying that investigations have been started in this regard and no suspect has been arrested so far.

The Banality of Evil

The “banality of evil” is a phrase coined in 1963 by Hannah Arendt in her work “Eichmann in Jerusalem” which describes the thesis that the great evils in history generally, and the Holocaust in particular, were not executed by fanatics or sociopaths but rather by ordinary people who accepted the premises of their leaders and therefore participated believing that their actions were normal.

The Banality of Evil – German Style

Lidice Massacre: 173 Men executed by the Germans  plus 82 children gassed at the Chelmno Extermination Camp.

During the Second World War, ordinary everyday Germans woke up in the morning, mothers readied their children for school, packed lunches for their husbands, who after having a breakfast of bratwurst and bread with “ersazt” coffee would head out to their jobs at the local Concentration Camp. Once at the camp, when the trains arrived, he ordered the inhabitants out, went through the throngs separating the able bodied who could work from the infirm, husbands from their families, children from their mothers, any opposition and he would order the offender shot on the spot, women that he judged good looking received special attention for raping and sexual molestation later.
The sickly and unwanted were marched directly into the gas chambers. During the day, our German family man circulated through the camp ensuring the efficient functioning of the facility. Any slave workers who were not pulling their weight were taken out on his orders and sent to the gas chamber. Once he was convinced that everything was in order, our good German returned to his office and did the paper-work.

In the evening he returned home exhausted. His children greeted him yelling “daddy, daddy”. His dog jumped up and licked his face. He hugged and kissed his wife, ate a hearty supper, then retired to read the newspaper or listen to the radio.

He was just doing his job. In his mind, he was not committing evil whatsoever. He was just a normal every day German doing his normal every day duty.

But the Banality of Evil was more than just the concentration camps. The German army was heavily involved with the SS in massacres throughout Europe and Russia. After the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich in Prague, Czechslovakia, young German men from SS and army surrounded the Czech villages of Lidice and Lezaky and executed 173 men at Lidice over 16. The women and remaining children were taken away to Ravensbruck Concentration camp. 82 children not considered suitable for ‘Aryanisation‘ were gassed at Chemnitz extermination camp on the orders of Adolf Eichmann At Ležak 33 villagers (both men and women) were shot. Thirteen children were separated from their families. The sisters Jarmila and Marie Šťulík were selected for the ‘Aryanisation’ programme (both were found and returned after the war). The remaining 11 children were sent to the Chełmno extermination camp and in summer 1942 gassed (together with one girl from Lidice).There is a chilling photograph of the young Germans killers dressed in spotless well-pressed uniforms, well combed hair with smiling faces and bottles of wine holding a banquet in the Lidice village center to celebrate their great victory. In the back ground surrounding the central square was the entire village buildings all leveled to the ground. This photograph is the very essence of the Banality of Evil German style. Young men performing, in their eyes, not evil but acts of valour. It is normal to kill these villagers, raze their village and enslave the women and children. Another Banality of Evil holocaust was – The “Holocaust by Bullets,” in which over 2 million Jews were gunned down in towns and villages across Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. Their part in the Nazis’ Final Solution has been under researched, their bodies left unidentified in unmarked mass graves. Again all of this horror was committed by young Germans just doing their duty. This is the banality of evil – German style.

The Banality of Evil – Islamic Style

Massacre of Banu Quraiza Jews: Muhammad had all the Jewish men of Banu Quraiza assembled and beheaded between 600 and 900. Muhammad personally beheaded 2 Jewish chieftians. In order to distinguish young Jewish boys from young Jewish men, the prophet ordered his “SS” known as The Companions or “Sahaba” to pull down the pants of the young Jewish boys and inspect their genitals for the slightest trace of pubic hair. Those poor unfortunates with pubic hair were dragged away and beheaded. The good looking Jewish women were separated out to be raped and gang raped after the beheading Islamic festivities. The job was completed. The rest were sold into slavery.

What was the difference between the massacres of Lidice and Khaybar?

The German murderers carried out their massacres in the name of “The Third Reich” – the highest (secular) power to which they owned allegiance. The Muslim murderers went one better – they carried out their massacres in the name of their god. The massacre of the Banu Quraiza was done by the ‘prophet of Allah’ with the total support of ‘angel Gabriel’ and ‘Allah’. Indeed angel Gabriel and his merry band of jihadi angels fought the Jewish defenders with great valor. Angel Gabriel and prophet Muhammad were the FIRST MUSLIM “HOLY WARRIORS”, aka jihadi terrorists.
There is a second difference too: Nazi attitudes in Germany (largely) died with the Nazis. Today Germans would not calmly massacre the innocent in the Nazi manner – such an action would once again be unthinkable. Mohammed’s attitudes did not die with Mohammed, instead they have continued throughout 1400 years of bloody history and are still taught today.

For Muslims the example of Mohammed is normative. It is normal to kill and torture kafirs.

What Muhammad did in his massacres was okay, the great acts of a ‘great prophet’ of a great god. All the mosques in the US, Europe and worldwide are teaching the Quran. When Muslim children go to an Islamic school (Madrassa), they are taught these teaching, and it is all just normal. In the Muslim mind, what we regard as evil, they regard as good, pious, divine and normal.
Pulling down the pants of young Jewish boys to determine life or death was a normal act by good, moral, normal Muslims “doing their duty” just as our good, moral, normal German did his duty in the concentration camp.

Blowing up the kafir London subway system was just a normal act fulfilling the teachings of Allah.

Smashing jets into the twin towers and blowing up the Boston Marathon was Allah’s will to punish the kafir for not submitting to Islam.

And to “prove” that these things are holy, divine and pious acts, Islam promises the good, moral, normal, pious Muslim kafir-killers a Paradise filled with virgin sex-slaves.
Burning Muslims alive in their homes for missing prayer, stoning Muslim women to death for adultery, cutting off the hands of thiefs, killing apostates are all just normal behavior.

The Islamic banality of evil and the normality of evil reach its true climax when Muslims defend the Quran, Allah, Muhammad and Islam.

Draw a cartoon of Muhammad and you get mass protests in the streets. Kill thousands of kafirs and masses pour into the streets cheering their god for having such brave, moral, pious souls carrying out his commands and shouting “ALLAH AKBAR!”

Why? Because the death of Kafirs proves that their “god is greater”.

Where are the protesters chanting “not in our name” or “not in the name of Islam”?

Nowhere. The reason is because killing kafirs is not murder but the holy acts of good, moral, normal, pious Muslims fulfilling the will of Allah.
Killing the infidels is a divine duty for Muslims, says the Quran (2:217, 9/111). The Brothers Tsarnaev read this and the thousands of teachings from the Quran and Sunna (hadith and Sirat) of Allah ordering Muslims to murder, terrorize and slaughter kafirs – and being genuinely good, pious Muslims they duly went out and killed, murdered, and slaughtered kafirs.

In the Islamic view Tamerlan Tsarnaev – the brother who was killed – is now in Paradise molesting his 72 promised virgins. His seriously wounded brother Dzhokhar will join him when he dies. The 3 murdered kafirs are in hell and damnation – their great criminal act was to be born kafirs and it was an act of piety for the Brothers Tsarnaev to kill them. This is the VERY ESSENCE OF THE BANALITY OF EVIL – ISLAMIC STYLE.

The Boston Massacre and the American evil of banality

After the Boston Massacre, the American media and political elites were falling all over themselves making excuses for the Brothers Tsarnaev. How could such wonderful boys from such a wonderful family have committed such horrific acts? Whatever caused these wonderful young boys to self-radicalise? What did we do to upset them and make them attack us?
The media is hiding, or ignoring, the fact that “self-radicalization”doesn’t happen through some unfathomable magical process – it happens thanks to Islam. It is the Quran and the rest of the Islamic Trilogy, that form a manual for terrorism, that radicalizes Muslims and turns them into killing machines.

The question is often asked: “How is it possible that the Germans committed such acts?”

Hitler had power handed to him by the political, intellectual, media and industrial elites. Once he became Chancellor anyone who opposed him was taken away and shot or hanged – often after vicious torture, and with the silencing of all criticism and opposition, Hitler’s views became normative in Nazi Germany. The constant bombardment of Nazi propaganda – without any dissenting opinion – made what good, moral, honest Germans would once have considered unthinkable seem entirely rational. Hence our Concentration Camp guard and the picture of nice, smartly dressed young Germans celebrating their massacre of the innocent.

The parallels with Mohammed and his Sahaba are almost too chilling.
Americans claim that what happened in Germany under Hitler could never happen here. “We are Americans” they proclaim. “We would stand against any dictatorship. We will never surrender our democracy and freedom.” In many ways, we Americans are far worse than the Germans. Whilst there is no one in government with the power to put us in front of a firing squad (at least not yet) most Americans are accepting the Islamization of the US without a whimper of protest. The evil of Islam is now normal. Every effort is made to condemn – not Islam – but those few who refuse to accept the erosion of our hard-won freedoms and liberties by fighting against the creep of Sharia Law, the Quran and Sunna into our society.

In America today, the attitudes of orthodox Islam are becoming “main stream” and its evil of blowing up kafirs, honor killing, the inferiority of women, raping, sex slaves etc. are becoming normalised. Like our attackers we blame US, the victims, for the attack. Our attackers externalise their motives onto us and we, obligingly, internalise them onto ourselves. Thus we have accepted the narrative of our killers as the truth – without question. THIS IS THE EVIL OF BANALITY – AMERICAN STYLE.
The test of true goodness is when you confront evil head on and expunge it from your heart and soul. This sounds easy but it is not. It means reaching into the very core of your being and pulling out all your mental insides, everything you have ever been taught from childhood, washing it out with the soap of truth. For Muslims, this requires expunging from the Muslim mind the Quran and Sunna with its thousands of evil teachings of terror, murder, torture and subordination of women.

WHY THESE TEACHINGS OF EVIL, TERROR, MURDER, VIOLENCE AND SUBJUGATION OF WOMEN MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE QURAN AND ISLAM ABANDONED.

By retaining these violent and abhorrent teachings in the Quran, Muslims are in effect saying that these teachings are normal and morally acceptable. They are acquiescing to evil. Once you accommodate evil, you lose your moral center and become, willingly or unwillingly, an accomplice to evil. You cannot call yourself a good person and refuse to condemn the violence of the Quran and demand that evil be expunged from this very evil book.
By not fighting against the evil in the Quran and abandoning Islam, Muslims become accomplices in all the acts of terrorist carnage and in many respects just as evil as the Muslim men actually committing these acts of slaughter.

THEY ALSO SERVE WHO ONLY STAND AND WATCH.

No longer can we allow Muslims to declare Islam as a religion of peace and love etc. – while leaving in the Quran and Islamic texts’ evil teachings calling for the destruction of kafirs.

No longer can we allow Muslims to believe in the fantasy world of an Allah of all goodness and his ‘prophet of peace’ Muhammad – while the Quran contains teachings of a hateful, murderous Allah (the Anti-God).

We must call on Muslims to prove that they are truly peace loving – by renouncing these evil teachings, condemning their evil founder Muhammad and his fake Allah and leaving Islam. This will be their moment of catharsis and the moment they save their immortal souls.

THAT MOMENT WILL BE THE END FOR THE BANALITY OF EVIL.

A short summary of events from the past three days: On Tuesday morning, the head of the IDF's Military Intelligence Analysis Division Brig. Gen.

Itay Brun revealed that the Syrian government has already used "lethal chemical weapons," against Syrian civilians and opposition forces. Brun described footage of people visibly suffering the impact of chemical agents, apparently sarin gas.
Hours later, US Secretary of State John Kerry said Netanyahu had told him on the telephone that "he was not in a position to confirm" Brun's statement.

It is hard to imagine the US was taken by surprise by Brun's statement. Just the day before, Brun briefed visiting US Defense secretary Chuck Hagel on Syria. It is not possible he failed to mention the same information.

And of course it isn't just the IDF saying that Syrian President Bashar Assad is using chemical weapons. The British and the French are also saying this.

But as a European source told Ma'ariv, the Americans don't want to know the facts. The facts will make them do something about Syria's chemical weapons. And they don't want to do anything about Syria's chemical weapons.

So they force Netanyahu to disown his own intelligence.

Thursday afternoon, in a speech in Abu Dhabi, Hagel confirmed, "with some degree of varying confidence," that Syria used chemical weapons, at least on a "small scale."
What the administration means by "some degree of varying confidence," is of course, unknowable with any degree of varying confidence.

Then there is Iran.

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — A militant serving a 19-year prison sentence for beheading three Christian schoolgirls has escaped while visiting his sick wife and is still at large, Indonesian police said Friday.

National Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said Basri, 36, fled from his house in the Central Sulawesi town of Poso last week when a guard who escorted him from jail to the home left him unguarded for several hours.

Basri, who like many Indonesians uses a single name, was sentenced to 19 years in jail in 2007 for the beheadings and a series of attacks that terrorized Poso, where a Muslim-Christian conflict killed at least 1,000 people from 1998 to 2002.

"When the guard came to take him back to the prison, he found that Basri was no longer at his house," Amar said. "He is still at large."

Police are searching for Basri, whom Amar described as a "dangerous militant," and are investigating why he was escorted by only one guard.

"We call on people who know his whereabouts to report to authorities immediately," Amar said.

Basri, who was arrested along with five other militants in February 2007, admitted to beheading one of the three girls in late 2005 as they walked to school along a quiet jungle path overlooking Poso.

In an interview with The Associated Press days after their arrests, Basri said he and the other militants learned weapons handling and bomb making from members of the al-Qaida-linked Southeast Asian terror network Jemaah Islamiyah.

Footage of the 2007 counterterrorism operation that led to their arrest was posted on YouTube and Muslim websites, sparking outrage among Islamic groups.

The video shows uniformed officers from Indonesia's elite anti-terrorism unit yelling and shooting rounds to scare the shirtless, bound suspects, who were lying face down on the ground. One man wearing only underwear and shown with a bloody hole in his back, presumably from a gunshot wound, was identified as Wiwin Kalahe, another beheading convict.

Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation, has won praise for arresting and convicting terrorists since the 2002 Bali bombings that killed 202 people, mostly foreign tourists.

Through the slit of the burqa she wore to blend in on the streets of Alexandria, Egypt, Kalli Atteya waited and watched until the boy climbed off the school bus. When she saw him, she moved quickly, grabbing his arm and steering him toward the waiting motorized cart.

"Get in," she said to the 12-year-old, who recognized his mother's piercing blue eyes and obeyed wordlessly.
Soon, they were speeding toward a safehouse where they would wait for three weeks before returning to the U.S., and ending a 20-month ordeal that began with another abduction — one the boy, Khalil Mohamed “Niko” Atteya, did not accept willingly. His father, Mohamed Atteya, who is wanted by the U.S. authorities, is accused of luring the mother and son to his homeland, then snatching the boy and leaving Kalli Atteya and her sister on the side of a desolate road between Cairo and Port Said on Aug. 1, 2011.
“My Dad forced me to be Muslim, which I did not want to do,” Niko, who has been back in Pennsylvania for more than a month, told FoxNews.com.

Now that the Boston bombers have turned out, contrary to the fervent hope of the left, to be not Tea Partiers but Muslims, the media are spinning the terrorists’ motive away from jihad and shrugging, helplessly mystified, about the “senseless” attacks. Nearly a dozen years after the 9/11 attacks, too many Americans still cling to militant denial about the clear and present danger of an Islamic fundamentalism surging against an anemic Western culture. What will it take to educate them? And once awakened, what steps can we take to reverse the tide?

Christianity, Islam, and Atheism opens with a section titled “The Islamic Threat,” in which Kilpatrick describes the rise of supremacist Islam and our correspondingly tepid defense of Western values. Our collapse in the face of Islam, he says, is due in large part to our abandonment of Christianity, which has led to “a population vacuum and a spiritual vacuum” that Islam has rushed to fill. “A secular society… can’t fight a spiritual war,” Kilpatrick writes. Contrary to the multiculturalist fantasy dominant in the West today, “cultures aren’t the same because religions aren’t the same. Some religions are more rational, more compassionate, more forgiving, and more peaceful than others.” This is heresy in today’s morally relativistic world, but it’s a critical point because “as Christianity goes, so goes the culture.”

Kilpatrick notes that Christians today have lost all cultural confidence and are suffering a “crisis of masculinity,” thanks to the feminizing influences of multiculturalism and feminism. He devotes significant space to encouraging Christians to, well, grow a pair, to put it indelicately, in order to confront Islam, the “most hypermasculine religion in history”:
On the one hand, you have a growing population of Muslim believers brimming with masculine self-confidence and assertiveness about their faith, and on the other hand, you have a dwindling population of Christians who are long on nurturance and sensitivity but short on manpower. Who seems more likely to prevail?

Kilpatrick devotes a chapter to “The Comparison” between Islam and Christianity, in which he points out that Christians who buy into the concept of interfaith unity with Muslims would do well to look more closely at our irreconcilable differences instead of our limited common ground; he demonstrates, for example, that the imitation of Christ and the imitation of Muhammad lead a believer in radically different directions.

The public gripped on to the horrifying image and romantic notion of the throes of youth in revolt projected daily, accepting it without question as the inclusive narrative.

Desperation in a street of an Arab-Muslim city, by no means novel, was now predicted to be the trigger for a wave of revolutions to come which in reality would have nothing to do with gaining freedom.

Extreme behavior, in this case burning flesh, reflected Tunisia’s saturation of agents working the streets and fomenting rebellion to finally override its movement for change. In shadows surrounding the world’s focus, parallel truths worth telling were never explored. This led the West to wrongly interpret the character of the protests upending dictators. The media unfolded details and shaped them with the bias used to minimize Gaza’s rocket launches into Israel and spotlight Israeli retaliation as insensitive aggression.
Within a few days after the Tunisian set himself ablaze hordes of pro-democracy youths gathered in the streets. The first state to mimic Tunisia was Egypt, thirty-seven days later. Three weeks after that, Mubarak toppled, opening the door to worse conditions for those seeking freedom. The dominos affect was now underway, and in short order revolutionary fervor flared in Yemen, Libya, Syria, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Algeria. Most of these countries at the time of the upheavals reveal the Muslim Brotherhood political apparatus was operating on the ground -- recruiting, smuggling arms, increasing personal wealth -- and waiting in the wings for such an opportunity to grab as this.
